Establishing God’s economic order / genesis 11:1-9, acts 2:44-47 and 4:32-35

God’s kingdom
Let’s act in one love and one mind, as one family of Christ. (nothing will stop you when the power of God is in unity)

Genesis 11:6 “The LORD said, "If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.” When people of the same community gather together to do God’s work, they have power, and nothing will prove to be impossible for them to achieve. When they strive towards a same goal that God has given them, nothing will prevent them from achieving it.


Acts 4:32-35 “All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all. There were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned lands or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to anyone as he had need.” This was the ideal world that God wanted to achieve, all believers of Christ in one heart and one mind, setting out to save the lost and eliminate poverty. Eradication of poverty no longer becomes a myth, because history has shown that the impossible has been achieved. In acts, one of the books in bible, it states that all Israelites have no possessions of their own, and shared everything they had. It was the ideal state, where everyone was equal, and they view their possessions as blessings from God, and thus they would share them everyone. As the analogy goes, it’s easier to give money to others when it doesn’t belong to you. Thus, by viewing your money as God’s money, it makes it easier for us to part with them to those who are in need.
God’s sterwardship (no claimed that any of his possessions was his own). Our money belongs to God. When we know that money belongs to God, it is easier to give.
God’s glory, the name of Jesus was glorified when we give ourselves all out to God, including all our possessions.


Let’s live in community(which will aid in the eradication of poverty), and repent of our greed(ask God forgiveness of our greed).

Live simply so that others may simply live!
Renounce all fears! God will provide all our needs. Give and it shall be given to you.

gahh,today was an extreme rollercoaster ride.


morning 7am: woke up feeling really excited cuz i was starting work in seab today
7.30am: ate this really nice choc fudge cake that made me felt rly sinful. still in high high happy mood:).






nothing's gonna change my mood. it's a bright sunny day with birds chirping. everything's gonna be greatttt!





8.10am: gahh, still stuck in train, late for workkkkkkk!, 1st day somemore><
8.15am: met up with sophh
8.20am: chenxi, the late queen finally appeared.walked quickly to seab cus we were really late




that's when something happened!~

suey incident #1: my slipper chose such a horrible time to split open and broke. .i was practically limping and limping until i felt that it was so difficult walking like that. i decided to take off the left broken slipper, and so i ended up walking barefoot on the left foot and slipper on the right.. it was an embarrassing sight.totally!

9am: ended up in seab after much attempts of limping and looking like a retard. .
decided it was best to go all barefoot after all, wrote this declaration form saying whether u have close relatives, friends or family taking o'levels. stupidy wrote my bro taking o'levels chinese w/o much thinking. ..

9.30am: Just when i thought all my bad luck has finally disappeared, the person-in-charge suddenly called me over.




suey incident #2:

person-in-charge: you have a brother taking o'levels this year.?

charis: yes, but he's in sec 3 this year, so he's only taking o'level chinese.

person-in-charge: huh?! cannot leh, didn't we tell you beforehand that you musnt' have any family members taking o'levels, cuz we're doing o'levels!

charis: but he's taking only olevel chinese, one paper only.

person-in-charge: cannot!, it means you will stil be able to see his entire script.

charis: but i'm doing malay and tamil scripts

person-in-charge: NO!, we cannot afford anything to happen.
person-in-charge: wad's your brother's name?
charis: *gives full name of brother*
person-in-charge: *checks brother's name on comp*

sorry, you have to leave, cuz your brother is taking o'level chinese this year
we will terminate your work registration immediately. you can leave now.

WHAT?!.



the job was like one of the highlights of hols, tho it's pretty much a boring job, you just get to collate scripts and shade tons of marks.. .but i enjoyed it, and the satisfaction gotten from a job is really good. like i earned bout 500plus just doing that job for bout 2 weeks. it's good and easy money.:D

so it was thunderstorm when i started off with such a horrible horrendous to my day. i walked out of seab, ready to go home to get a good rest from all these crap that i faced in the morning.




and then



suey incident #3: it started pouring really heavily!. and i was left stranded outside seab which was fortunately sheltered else i would have died on the spot. i was not in a state to walk back to tiongbahru station with my slidders broken and pathetic, and definately unable to walk back home like that. . .

haha, these2 songs are really good for emoing, but i personally think bad day sounds more optimistic than 下雨天.. .and then i was staring into space for like 15 minutes, thinking how suey can i get.. .

almost on the bringe of tears,imagine this scene, raining pouring+feeling reallly sad and depressed like the world crashed on you+sitting on the bench cus you're handicapped with no shoes, and unable to walk to the nearest bus-stop/mrt station to go home


after 15mins of stoning and emoing, i decided to give up and just go barefoot in the rain.

i went out and took a cab. .
and i swear singapore has too little taxis out there. .

i waited,and waited, tons of cabs with "busy" on their signs passed by..
uh, it's becoming increasingly tough to get a cab in singapore, in places like america and taiwan, it's damn fast to get a cab, u just raise ur hand to hail for one, and after a few seconds, it comes.. .
hais, they should seriously re-look into the taxi, cabbing system, like increase their pay or smthing, and lower their cab rental fees for goodness sake.. .

but the best thing was that the whole ride only took me 6plus bucks..not bad sehh, and i tot that it'll cost more than 10bucks, wad with the increase in taxi fares and oil prices.

sucksss,prices is like increasing so much for everything,.

me and sophh just went to check jetstar air tic prices, and our 562 price tics to taiwan rose up again,ahh, my money pocket is seriously gng to bao(4)..now it's 600plus for a round-trip ticin 1st week of jan. and china airlines is 700plus..wah, during dec it's like 900plus.GOSH.........><

aHHH, anws, after going home, i was feeling rly pissed and in a super bad mood. i ticked my bro for playing comp, cus he was supposed to be banned>.<, it gets extremely difficult to discipline ur siblings esp when they don't view you as an authority figure.. .it's easier for them to get-out-of-hand when my mom is not around, then you feel it's your utmost responsibilty to ensure the well-being and growth of your bro and sis.

i was still in this rly crappy mood for the rest of the morning..

only after chrislyn sent me this really exciting sms, that she helped me found an internship in nuffnang which is 500 per month. but the job scope is rly interestin and fun, like you get to go for movie screenings for free.:D, and chislyn got a chance to meet artistes and actresses in some muay thai comps last year.. .ahh,!.

that helped to clear some of the black clouds.




i became significantly much happier for the rest of the day


i went for a swim in the evening cus i was feeling really unfit and fat lately, have't been excercising lately.


after the swim, i felt much better:D, with my body producing more endorphins.:)

I’m currently a first year student studying in Hwachong institution. I have no prior working experience, but have a deep interest in advertising, and would like to learn more through this internship. I enjoy working with people and bloggers, and love to help organize large-scale exciting events. Singapore examination assessment board: mostly administrative jobs such as collating examination scripts and marks. A job that requires one to be meticulous and patient.
