chap 8 : “planned for God’s pleasure”
We are all planned for God’s pleasure, to please, delight him. We existed for his benefit, his purpose and his delight. The first purpose of our lives is to please our creator, the lord most high. So to please him, we’ve gotta do things that pleases him, to fulfill the GODLY promises and purposes in our lives. When we understand that we are impt to our God, we will therefore not have the problem of inferiority and insignificance in our lives. We know that each and everyone of us is impt and valuable to God, we are children of God, treasured and loved by him.
God wants us to enjoy the life that he has given us, so that our lives are not meaningless. . But rather we live everyday meaningfully. .with great joy and love. We live everyday the way God wants, living in the light of the 2nd coming, so that everyday to us is a NEW dae. .that’s how it goes. . God wants us to enjoy life, not just endure it. When you live everyday of your life for God, you’ll find that life is so much more FUN, and interesting. It’s not just sum old boring thing that you’re doing, you’re enjoying every minute of ur life. therefore, let’s not just live for ourselves, but for GOD.
Worship is not just singing unto the lord, or just expressing our thanksgiving and delight unto the lord. Worship is far more than that, it’s a form of lifestyle.
Worship is far more that MUSIC:
People always classify worship as a synonym for music, they think it’s just pure singing unto the lord, or making music for the most high. Clearly, this isn’t true. worship consist of everything that’s happening during church service, it includes, sermon, singing, praying, taking notes, giving offering, communion and baptism. It comprises of all that is a form of pleasure to the lord. Therefore, worship has nothing to do about the music we sing during service, it has nothing to do about the style, the volume and the speed. It doesn’t matter how people choose to worship the lord with the music, it can be singing hymms, or sometimes simply keeping quiet amidst the presence of the lord. The style of music Christians worship differ from one church to another. Many defend their own style of music, saying that this is more suitable to worship the lord and that this style of theirs is more appropriate and more preferred by God. Frankly speaking, there is no specific correct worshipping style. God loves all worship, not matter if it’s rock music or simply hymms. It ‘s all like sweet melody to his ears, and sweet honey to his lips. THEREFORE, there is no such thing as Christian music, there’s only Christian LYRICS. It is the words sung unto the lord that matters, not the tune. It is the lyrics that is sung lyke a prayer unto the lord.
