Isaiah 45
“I am the lord, and there is no other; apart from me, there is no God.” God reaffirms himself, saying that there are no other Gods other God himself. We are not allowed to worship and pray to other Gods. “Ignorant are those who carry about idols of wood, who pray to gods that cannot save.” Those who only seek their gods when they face problems and troubles in life, they would only turn to their one and only Lord when they need help. Who is God to them.? They only trust him when they need help, when they are leading perfect happy lives, they turn away from God, thinking that they no longer need the lord anymore.
“I summon you by name and bestow on you a title of honor, though you have not acknowledged me” “I will strengthen you though you have not acknowledged me” God is a loving and graciousGod, even though at times, we turn away from him, we ignore him, we forget his presence, his existence. He still bless us tremendously, giving us new opportunities and chances to excel and do well in life. His loving kindness is good to all, and I’ve often very grateful that God has given me so many things in life, but sometimes it seems that I keep asking for more. I ‘ve become more and more greedy for God’s blessings and grace. Sometimes, I feel that at times I’ve misused God’s grace. And that I take this special grace for granted. I kept sinning against God, knowing that he will cleanse my sins over and over again with the blood of Jesus. But this blood seems to be soaked in guilt and dirt, as I’ve often had the wrong attitude and mindset when I’ve always come in front of the altar to receive his grace. We are sinners saved by God’s wonderful grace, so that we can be called sons and daughters of the living God. therefore, God’s grace is pure, holy and sacred, we cannot misuse this special God’s grace and love for us.
“This is what the lord says—the holy one of Israel and its maker:
Concerning things to come, do you question me about my children, or give me orders about the work of my hands”
Sometimes, I will question God about the things that happen in my life…like why sometimes, when we put in lots of effort in doing sumthing,.. we just don’t’ seem to get it. . .perhaps it’s the not the right time. . .but when will it be the right time. . .and sometimes waiting for that thing to happen takes a LONG time.. and it really needs lots of perseverance and patience and determination to get it going. . .
Other times, I would ask God about why the sudden increase of natural disasters –such as tsunami..earthquakes.. volcanoes eruption… .typhoons. . .and so forth. . .obviously I know the reason. . .but it just seems so cruel and sad .. . .that many loved ones and friends are just slipping away from us. . ..
BUT..i know that victory lies in the lord. . .and as time goes by. . .the truth will be made known to all . . .
And then the end will COME.
(oH man.this sounds so dramatic. .yeps..but it is)
